14. Halfway Reflection

1) Tenaciousness is a competency. What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
ENT3003 is definitely an interesting course. However, it takes a great amount of time to keep up with the requirements of this course. Not only should you find appropriate people for interview, you must be able to plan thoroughly and analyze your environment to be able to effectively learn from the assignments and ultimately become a better entrepreneur because of the course. One of the main behaviors that I have used and even developed is the behavior to set up a strict schedule. I would look at future assignments and see if I were able to prepare the assignment beforehand. If I can, I would utilize my Google Calendar (synchronized with my phone) to set up the schedule to not fall behind in this course.
2) Tenaciousness is also about attitude. Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
I really felt like giving up especially for the Reading reflection. I chose to read a book that was "extremely" lengthy and I didn't really know much about Steve Jobs and the steps, including the failures, that he had to take to succeed as an entrepreneur. However, my tendency to set up a strict schedule helped me pull through the tough assignment and I was able to read the whole book before the assignment.

3) Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the 'tenacious mindset' ?
a. Manage your time wisely
b. Plan ahead
c. Always give your 100% no matter how important the assignment is

  1. Minseok,
I also said that in order to be successful and keep up with the course load in ENT3003 is to have a strict schedule and to prepare ahead of time. Time management is important in any class, especially one with a lot of work. I agree a lot with your tip about giving your 100%, no matter how big the assignment is. You seem like a hard worker.
