18. Create a Customer Avatar
My customer Avatar is a 37-year-old amateur golfer named Justin who has a job from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. He is a family man who has two children and must pick them up from school and take the time to attend to their needs. His love for golf is extremely strong. His favorite time of the week is on the golf course with his friends having fun time. His favorite TV channel is ESPN and NBC Golf Channel. He believes that Tiger Woods should run for president and bought a Buick just because Tiger Woods' endorsement deal with Buick. However, he recently feels that his game needs to improve and is currently looking for a place to hone his skills. Unfortunately, Justin's neighborhood doesn't have a golf course or a range that is open till late at night, the only time of the day when he's free.
The main similarities between Justin and myself is that late evening and nighttime is usually the only period of time of the day when we are free to spend our time on whatever hobby we want. I don't think this is a coincidence since this potential prototypical customer resulted would have the same need which is to look for a place to practice golf shots during the time of the day.

ReplyDeleteI think that you did a great job of identifying the prototypical consumer; Someone who has a busy schedule during the day time. I believe this can be a potential opportunity for entrepreneurs. One of the examples I can think of is 24 hours gym, which allows people who only have time during night time to work out as well. Overall, I think you did a great job on this assignment.
