25. What's Next?
Existing Market.
Step 1: Most important thing to take care of first is to evaluate costs going into the golf range.
Step 2: Met three random golfers at the Ironwood Golf Course and asked them questions. They definitely loved the idea of a 24-hour golf range facility with automatic systems.
Step 3: In the late afternoons, the practice facility will mainly be open to young members in their teens and 20s, who have finished their school work and have either come to practice their skills by themselves or with a pro assigned at the facility. In the early morning and late evenings, the range will be open mainly for adults above 30s who have managed to take time for their family after or before work.
This practice range will also use systems that collects fees that are counted time-wise, not by the number of balls that they are hitting. As for the members with access to the second floor, they will only pay the monthly fee to hit unlimited ball for unlimited time. Also, the fact that this range is open for 24 hours is also another great value that customers will appreciate.

New Market.
Step 1: A charity organization that distributes food and shelter for the poor.
Step 2: I believe that my facility will be able to accommodate charity events with the charity organization and be able to raise funds and even teach golf to unprivileged children of the families.
Step 3: I described my idea to my pastor (who runs bi-monthly charity events) and his wife. They both loved the idea of such charity events, saying that location and costs to rent the location is always the biggest concern for charity organizations. They believe that this unusual combination could most definitely work effectively.
Step 4: The most surprising fact about this market was that charity organizations often lack human, social, and financial capital despite the magnitude and the number of organizations out there.
I believe that if more facilities and businesses were to be more eager to help out, it would help both businesses and markets extremely effectively, since the business willing to help the charity business could easily earn media exposure and extra capital along with the event.

Minseok,
ReplyDeleteI am very fond of your new market idea, which is the charity organization for the poor. I also like the idea of teaching golf to the unprivileged children of these families. I think that location rent costs can be handled by getting sponsors or others who can fund for this cause. It is true that many small charity organizations can lack human, social, and financial capital, especially when starting up.
